Dear Texas Rubies,
We are sad to let you know that we will not be having a retreat in 2013, as previously planned. It was our hope to fulfill our desire to plan the postponed retreat, but time and various situations have made it more clear that cancelling is what we need to do and what is best for our families in this season of life.
We both have had changes in our families that have caused us to reduce our commitments. We individually prayed, discussed with our husbands, and yet were hesitant to let all of you and each other down. It was God's sweet mercy and grace to allow us to discuss our concerns and share our hearts during Jeanette’s recent visit to DFW which confirmed things for us. We were both feeling led the same way and we know that it is God's plan for us to cancel the retreat.
If anyone would like to talk with us about the details that go into planning the retreat, we are happy to help in this capacity. We are both available to advise anyone interested and will forward any documentation to help the process go smoother for you.
We love you all and hope you will find a retreat or some place to be refreshed and encouraged. Some of the Houston rubies had a great idea a few years ago did a “do it yourself” weekend retreat with a few ladies. They watched Nancy on DVD and had munchies and such. You could also listen to her audio downloads or CDs.
